PRE-ORIENTATION CHECK-IN SESSIONS

Mandatory check-in sessions

Besides checking in with your school and residence hall, you will also have to check in with the ISSP office. Click on the day when you would like to come for the check-in, and sign up for one of the time slots. Preferably, you should attend the check-in session before the international orientation begins on August 20. There will be no check-ins on Thursday August 20.

Exceptions:

  • Biostatistics, Math, and Computer Science Students - You will have a special check-in on August 24 at 1:30 p.m. at the ISSP office. Please do not sign up here.
  • Chemistry Ph.D. Students - You will have a special check-in on August 13 at 9:30 a.m. in the North Decatur Building, Room 225 (Kennesaw Room). Please do not sign up here.
  • Goizueta Business School MBA - F-1 MBA students will have a special group check-in session on August 4 at 8:30 a.m. at the Goizueta Business School. Please do not sign up here.
  • Goizueta Business School Exchange BBA - J-1 BBA exchange students will have a separate check-in on August 24 at 8:30 a.m. Do not sign up here.
  • Goizueta Business School Exchange MBA - J-1 MBA exchange students will have a separate check-in on September 4 at 9:00 a.m. at the ISSP office. Do not sign up here.
  • Humphrey Fellows - will check in as a group at the ISSP office on August 11 at 10:00 a.m. Please do not sign up here.
  • Oxford College - Oxford students will have check-in and orientation at the Oxford Campus on August 24. Please do not sign up here.
  • School of Medicine - F-1 MD students will have a special group check-in session on August 10 at 1:00 p.m. in the North Decatur Building, Room 255 (Kennesaw Room). Please do not sign up here.
  • School of Law - Students will have a special group check-in session on August 17 in classrooms 5B and 5C at the Law School at 1:30 p.m. Please do not sign up here.
  • School of Public Health - F-1 and J-1 students will have a special group check-in session on August 17 at 10:00 a.m. in the Rita Anne Rollins Room at the Rollins School of Public Health. Please do not sign up here.

If you arrive in Atlanta on Wednesday, August 19 (afternoon or later), and you won't be able to attend a check-in session before the orientation begins, please look at the orientation schedule and sign up for a check-in session that will leave you time to attend the immigration, tax, employment and healthcare sessions.

Please bring all of your previously issued I-20s and/or DS-2019s, I-94 card, and passport to the check-in session.

If, for any reason, you cannot attend a check-in session at all, please notify the ISSP office at issp@emory.edu as soon as possible.
