Romero Huffstead will join the Emory community in September as a staff psychologist. He received his PhD in counseling psychology from Auburn University, where he served for more than five years in residence life. 

Kyle Lastovica joins the Barkley Forum team this month as assistant director of debate. He received his master’s in communication studies with a focus on strategic communication and bachelor’s in government from George Mason University. He has taught debate at Gonzaga University and George Mason University.

Flor Martinez joins Emory in July as complex director for Complex Hall. Flor comes to Emory after working five years in residence life at the University of Texas-Pan American, where she earned her bachelor’s degree, and Reinhardt College in Georgia.

Jason Sigalos, new debate coach with Barkley Forum, was formerly the Melissa Maxcy Wade Fellow with Barkley Forum for the 2016-2017 school year. Jason was also an assistant debate coach at both Woodward Academy and Westminster School in Atlanta. He received his bachelor’s in political science from Emory in 2016.
