Winter Break

In accordance with the Emory University calendar, Campus Life will observe the winter recess from Friday, December 22, through Monday, January 1, 2024; all offices will be closed unless otherwise noted below. Offices will reopen Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

The following services remain available for students during the break.

Emory Police Department


Emory Police Department remains open and available 24/7.

Student Intervention Services (SIS) is on call 24/7. If you need assistance, please call 404-430-1120. If it is an emergency, please call 911 or Emory Police at 404-727-6111.

 

2023 Winter Recess Hours of Operation
(Wednesday, Dec. 13 - Wednesday, Jan. 17)

Residential students who are staying on campus between Sunday, Dec. 17 through Sunday, Jan. 7 will use their EmoryCards to access the Eagle Emporium (ESC) or Clairmont Café (SAAC) during lunch (12-2 p.m.) and dinner (6-8 p.m.) to purchase meals. Meal swipes are not available at either location during this time.

Emory Dining will provide complimentary catered meals on the following days: Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec. 31, and Jan. 1.
Meals can be picked up during lunch from 12-2 p.m. from the Eagle Emporium (ESC) or Clairmont Café (SAAC). 

 

Residence Life staff members are on call 24 hours a day throughout the Winter Break.

After-hours Psychiatry

  • If you are an established patient at Student Health Services Psychiatry, you can call the on-call psychiatrist at 404-778-5000 for urgent concerns. The on-call psychiatrist is reserved for urgent situations that cannot wait until the next business day.
  • For requests as an established patient for medication refills, please send a secure message through Your Patient Portal and the message will be attended to the next business day.
  • If you are experiencing a life-threatening situation please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
