All Emory resources are available to students who have transferred to Emory. However, the following resources are designed specifically for transfer students.

OUE facilitates a number of resources for transfer students which include;

  • Specific messaging for transfer students starting June

  • Transfer student Checklist and Essentials

  • Rebecca Rego serves as OUE’s transfer student academic adviser and led

    • Academic information and advising sessions which started May 20th

    • Summer 1:1 Advising sessions with OUE’s academic advising team

  • Transfer students registered for classes at the same time as upper-class students

  • FAQs for transfer students

  • Move in and transfer student orientation takes place August 22nd – 24th

  • One orientation coordinator and 10 orientation leaders trained to focus on needs of Emory students who transferred into our community this fall

  • Option to enroll in a section of ECS 102 (a transfer student section of what use to be PACE)

  • Mandatory advising appointments for new transfer students in October

  • Fall semester weekly Transfer Tuesday emails with information about academics

Campus Life provides the following resources

  • Following New Student Orientation the Orientation coordinator and leaders will have the opportunity to transition to SILT student staff who will focus on transfer student programming

  • SILT staff member will oversee this student staff team and advise the Emory Transfer Student Organization (ETSO), a registered student organization.

  • Career Services including career exploration, job/internship/graduate school search assistance, professional development programming, and a robust employer recrutiing program

  • Ignite Pre-Orientation program was available to transfer students

  • Transfer students receive invitation to use the HUB and to Year Experience programming facilitated by OUE and Campus Life
